Vol 2, Ep 9 – Cigars, Armagnac, Titles of Mary – Part 1

This Week on My Stogie Mystagogy

Green Cigars, Green Buildings, Armagnac, and Part 1 of Titles of Mary

For this podcast, I tried something new, a Fuego Verde by La Palina. That means green fire, and it probably what the Green Lantern would smoke if the Green Lantern was cool.

I guess he could light it with his lantern. The Fuego Verde is made with Nicaraguan filler, Honduran binder, and Honduran wrapper. I enjoyed it and will buy more. I enjoyed with my usual Dewers White Label Scotch.

Gary enjoyed another green cigar, a Rocky Patel Edge Claro, From the Rocky Patel announcement:

The Edge Candela is a medium bodied cigar and the latest addition to The Edge line. The candela wrapper gives the blend a truly unique flavor, consisting of sweet spice and floral tea, ultimately lending a creamy finish.

The wrapper is a Habano Seed Candela, and the binder and fillers are a secret.

Don ventured way outside his comfort zone, and smoked a Cuesta Rey Centenario #7 Robusto – oh wait, it’s made by (drum roll) Arturo Fuente! It is made with Dominican filler and Connecticut Shade Wrapper.

Both Don and Gary enjoyed their cigars with Armagnac warmed in brandy snifters.

After cigar talk we discussed briefly why there are so many versions of the Bible out there, and then we began a talk about some of the titles of Mary. It was a long discussion and so we broke it into two parts, and may very well have a follow up conversation after that.

Enjoy!
